Credit Crunch!

     For those who don’t know me, I’m E.Jones “aka” BigBro, one half of C.E. Bros. & Associates LLC, representing http://www.getuintoacar.com/. I’m currently a sales executive with Pine Belt Subaru in Lakewood, NJ.  The auto industry has been in my blood for over 10 years. Throughout the course of my career, I’ve also sold Honda and Chevy. Within the past year, the industry has changed tremendously! The contents of this post contain crucial information that consumers should be aware of.

     Unfortunately, Dealerships nationwide are finding themselves in a position of failure. Failure to provide their customers auto loan approvals, that a year ago were not an issue. At this very moment, the same buyer with a 680-720 credit score is having just as much trouble purchasing a vehicle as the buyer with a 580 score and below. It’s convenient to place blame on your salesperson, his manager, and everybody’s favorite, “The Finance Guy”; they just happen to be in your line of fire. However, these role players suffer the same as you, if not worse. If they’re not selling, they’re not paying bills, mortgages, and even they’re own car payment!

     With Wall Street’s decline, what used to be an average cost of $4.00 or more for fuel nationwide, shady investors ripping off innocent victims and unemployment boasting an all time high in over 20 years, this country is hurting. Commission based employees are in trouble. Banks are begging for government bailout to bail out! Look at the G.M. and Chrysler, no company wants to close down dealerships.  However, the current economic hardship has led to these extreme measures in order to survive.  Just for the record, if your salesperson says nothing can be done, they mean it!  There is not one other person in all the dealerships in the country who means it most. You may have been the only opportunity that day, in some cases, that week.

     Now, let’s get to the point. When buying your next car, consider your salesperson. Listen to the presentation, discuss all options that you’re given, make your experience something you’ll refer your friends and family to the next day. In this current market,we all need to stick together!
